Virtual Makeover

In this tutorial, you'll learn how to make yourself or someone else over using Paint Shop Pro. Here's the image that I'm going to start with:

1. First take your soften tool and soften all of the skin to make it look nice and smooth. Do not soften the edges of the nose or mouth, or along the jaw line.
2. Take the dodge tool and dodge out the whites of the eyes.

3. Take the burn tool and burn around the eyes. Now it should look similar to this:

4. Go to Layers >> Duplicate and set the new copy of the image to invisible. (click the eye on your layers palette).

5. Select the bottom copy of the image and take your paint brush tool. Color in where you want the "makeup" to be. Don't worry too much about neatness. Here's how my looks:

6. Make the top layer visible again and select it. Now take the eraser tool. Match your settings to mine.

7. Gently erase along the places where you painted in the different colors on the bottom layer. If done right, the colors should come out looking like natural makeup that was always there.

8. Now duplicate the top layer. Set it to soft light and there you go! I personally like to merge all of my layers together and then go to Adjust >> One Step Noise Removal to give the skin an extremely smooth look. Here's how mine turned out:
