I was on a roll with updates for awhile back in December, but things are getting a bit hectic again. I really hate that I don't have time to work on this site anymore. For now, I'm going to say that I'm on hiatus. As soon as I can get things back in order with school and finish my Flamora remodel, I'll be back in action.

After months of putting off a visit to the scanner (which is only seventeen steps from my bedroom), I finally scanned to various scraps I collected months ago. This first new set is a bit more lame than I thought it would be, but someone will find a use for it.

Contest!

I've been wanting to start a new contest for awhile now, but I wasn't able to come up with any ideas that fully satisfied me. Question contests always end up with too many winners or none at all, and I didn't want to run a design contest where the prize was a design. In the end, I've decided on a fan sign contest.

Quick Facts

Entrants must submit a fan sign via Myspace or email by January 23, 2010.
For those of you unsure what a fan sign is, I have an album full of them on Myspace. I also pulled out a few for those of you who do not have me added as a friend (1,2,3).
I'd prefer it if the sign Atomic or Atomic Affliction over Schizo, but I'm fine with both.
Only one entry is allowed per person.
Four winners will be chosen by me. Depending on the amount of entries I receive, I may add a voting aspect to choose additional winners.
Winners will receive their choice of either a photo retouch or a vectored cartoon drawing of themselves (example coming by the end of the week).
Creativity is the king here. I will look at execution as well, but I'm more interested in seeing what kind of ideas you all come up with.

I won an award from IceCaves.net for something I never thought I would win an award for: best site name. Those of you that have been following my site for awhile know that I actually hate my site's name. I was even a few clicks away from permanently changing it last year. But I suppose I'll never get to that point again, will I? So, thank you voters at Ice Caves. Y'all just saved me the eight bucks for a new domain name. :)

As for an update on updates, they'll be on hold for right now. I'm working on a major revamp for Flamora. At first I was unsure if I should dedicate so much time to that instead of updating here, but I think it will help in the long run so I'm forcing myself to not feel guilty.

It's been forever since I last updated. The month has not been a good one for me...December never is, really. I always get sick, teachers try to cram in a buttload of work before semester exams, and winter just makes me tired. However, winter break is only three days away. While I can't promise that I won't spend my whole vacation playing video games on the couch like a bum, I'll try my best to get an update out every day.

This layout is not as easy to edit and rearrange as some of my templates, but you can change the colors. The header, footer, and text colors can all by changed through the coding. The main columns are created with an image, so you will need to copy <a href="http://atomicaffliction.com/images/templates/7a.gif">this image</a> into your image editting program (MS Paint works just fine) and fill in the green and white parts with the colors of your choice. Then reupload the image on your favorite image host and plug it back into the code.<br><br>

Remember to exercise caution when editting the stylesheet. If you're not experienced with CSS or HTML, something can go haywire. Happy December everyone. I apologize for the lack of updates. The flu bug I had been successfully dodging for the past two months finally caught up with me. I just thought I'd write this out so no one thinks I'm going to temporarily abandon the site like I did back in September. New content should be up by the weekend. :D
